That jumper has never caused a problem with any computer I’ve worked on.

I would not do anything to the CMOS that has just been cleared, until after Windows is installed, accept disable all motherboard resources not required to install Windows. Think of motherboard resources as more expansion boards because in reality that it in essence is what they are. Disable USB in two places.

I would not do this. I would start with the AGP adapter.
