Some advise from someone who has been running a computer shop since 1987: buy a name brand laptop, from a company that likely isn't going out of business in the next five years and one where you can get service and parts. Go and look at a laptop and put you hands on it for a while before buying it. Now that I've saved you $100 and probably some grief, the tip jar is to the right. Larry
