My computer won't allow me to put it on stand-by. It says a driver or program won't allow it. looking at my PC documentation, It said that certain programs will automatically disable stand-by. I checked Dr. Watson and he said that Adobe has altered my system files. I recently installed Illistator 8.0 and Photoshop 5.5 Is there someway for me to change it back to being able to go on stand-by? Thanks for any help you can give 1. Thanks for the help Larry. I at least figured out why it won't go on stand-by. It says this DevNode 'TCP/IP' (NETWORK\MSTCP\0000) failed the suspend , but now the question is how to fix it. I have 2 computers networked. When I try to put it on standby, the 2nd computer is turned off and all programs and files are closed. I don't know what to do. I share an internet connection. Could that be the problem? 3. RE: Computer won't allow Stand-by lbyard Oct-23-00 02:40 PM In response to message 2
According to Microsoft's Knowledge Base, you can't go into standby if a network component is running. Why do you want to go into stanby? Larry
