Use laptop video display with PC?

Is it possible to hook up an LCD display screen (from a laptop) to a desktop PC?
Because of space constraints, I would like to use the smaller display screen instead of a full-size monitor. I have a working laptop display screen and a desktop unit I can locate in close proximity.
If you could point me in the right direction for technical information, I would greatly appreciate it.

I know of no practical way of doing it. There are small-footprint, flat-screen LCD displays for desktop PCs on the market that cost more than CRT monitors, but much less than adapting a notebook display to a PC. Larry
