I'm installing a network in an old office building, they I have a cable with 12 wires not twisted. Can I use this cable just by twisting the ends at the wall jack?

Certainly not. The cable cannot be untwisted more than 1/2 inch for a 100BASE-TX network. The cable must be CAT 5. It won't work at all for any network. Larry
