My dsl modem in not detected by my dial up network
manuld Jun-29-01 04:46 AM
OK I have tried everywhere and you guys are my last hope.

I have an Intel Pro/Dsl 2200 modem. I have it installed and have run the diagnostic check, every thing is in working order.

The problem? My dial up network doesn't see anything but my old 56K modem. I am running windows ME.

I have called the qwest dsl help desk and have talked to them for 45 minutes. They couldn't figure it out and they are now sending me a new modem. I don't think it's the modem. It shows up everywhere else. Somebody in this world must have had the same experience.

What is the fix...........please help.

Come on Larry help a fellow Larry out here:)

Have you installed the Windows Me drivers for the MODEM? There appears to be different drivers for Me and 9X at http://www.qwest.com/dsl/customerservice/modemsupport.html. I can't find anything on Intelís site. Larry
