My dsl modem in not detected by my dial up network

OK I have tried everywhere and you guys are my last hope.
I have an Intel Pro/Dsl 2200 modem. I have it installed and have run the diagnostic check, every thing is in working order.
The problem? My dial up network doesn't see anything but my old 56K modem. I am running windows ME.
I have called the qwest dsl help desk and have talked to them for 45 minutes. They couldn't figure it out and they are now sending me a new modem. I don't think it's the modem. It shows up everywhere else. Somebody in this world must have had the same experience.
What is the fix...........please help.

Have you installed the Windows Me drivers for the MODEM? There appears to be different drivers for Me and 9X at http://www.qwest.com/dsl/customerservice/modemsupport.html. I can't find anything on Intel’s site. Larry

The drivers are for the 2100. I have tried that, but to no avail. Thanks tho.

I had to Unistall ME. That worked! Yipee....
Now the line itself is jacked,so that should be another day.............
