Here it, the Windows 2000 box, It has the internet connection I want to share, the NIC's on both box's are FA311 Fast Ethernet PCI cards, the 2000 box has SP2 installed and a static IP of 10.10.10.1 and submask of 255.255.255.0 . The ME box is a clean upgrade from 98se, same NIC Static IP of 10.10.10.2 and the same Submask, hope this helps

And how are the two NICs neworked together? Do you see solidly lit Link LEDs on the NICs? Larry

I would like some help again. here is what's going on. My ME box had found the MT machine. BUT it is only showing the shared folders and no Icon for the box itself. the ME machine also cannot locate the internet connection that is shared. The NT machine states that it must remove the Static IP to use ICS. can you help me please.

So, for the time being, try it with the Me machine set to obtain the IP automatically. I would change the static address on the 2K box to 192.168.0.1, 255.255.255.0. Unlike Win 9x, Me shows Workgroups and computers under Entire Network. Larry
