My Current Problem is: The Host Connects to the Internet but the client Does not. Also normal networking functions between the two pc's is perfect.When I ping the Host IP Address from client = OK
When I ping IP address on Internet from client = Request Timed Out
I have the following setup:
1) 2 x pentium computers using Windows ME
- Peer to Peer network (Crossover Cable Cat5)
- Using ADSL or DSL as some call it.
- Host PC with x2 network cards (SMC Card for ADSL link and D-Link Card for Peer to Peer link)
2) I am using RASPPOE as my "PPP over Ethernet Protocol" version 0.96.
3) My Network has the following in it:
HOST PC:-
a) Client For Microsoft Networks
b) Microsoft Family Login
c) My home Network Adapter - D-Link DFE-530TX + PCI
d) Dial-Up Adapter
e) Internet Connection Sharing Adapter
f) My ADSL Adapter - SMC EZ Card 10/100 (SMC1211TX)
g) Protocols -
- Internet Connection Sharing Protocol (D-Link card)
- Internet Connection Sharing Protocol ( DialUp Adapter)
- Internet Connection Sharing Protocol (Internet Connection Sharing)
- NDISWAN -> PPP over ethernet miniport
- NDISWAN -> PPP over ethernet miniport
- NetBEUI -> D-Link card
- NetBEUI -> DialUp Adapter
- NetBEUI -> Internet Connection Sharing

I am at a loss as I have followed all the Microsoft "How to Troubleshoot Internet Connection Sharing" knowledge base articles. And I can't fault anything.
I am sorry for this lengthy message but, I hope in may help with giving me a solution.
