Can Windows 95 and 98 be on the same peer-to-peer network?

I searched for this answer everywhere, but could not find it. I just want the answer to a yes/no question: can Windows 95 be used together with Windows 98 on a peer-to-peer network?

Several documents seem to imply that this is possible, but none of them state it directly...
