internet connection sharing by means of an internet server
ajay_k00 Sep-16-01 11:20 AM
I regularly visit this cybercafe near my home and allways wonder how the whole setup works.
I do know some things about networking and therefore know that these guys use an ISDN modem connected to an internet server and internet access is gained by means of giving its IP address as the defult gateway.
But this is not enough for me as ineed to know how the drivers for the modem itself are installed. Besides that how exactly do you configure the internet server.
P.S : The OS used is Win ME and the internet server is manufactured by D-Link.

They are probably using a D-Link broadband router. These links provide more info: http://duxcw.com/faq/ics/diffrout.htm
