Took your advice and bought the barricade 7004abr the new model real easy to set up the network and ISP. There is one problem they don't tell you about. The print server will not work with a multifunction printer only a standalone printer will work. After two hours of hair pulling and a few bad words I went to the FAQ at their website that is where I found it won't work I would think they could come up with a driver that would fix this. I asked SMC if they were a workaround where you could just use the printer havn't heard back yet. You are right about one thing it is simple to setup and a real nice router. Good price also.

HP PSC 500 The reason I thought there might be a workaround I bought that Belkin usb printer adapter when I had the HP 540 and they said it would not work with a multifunction machine but the printer would work. I thought maybe the barricade would do the same thing. Still have not heard back from smc. thanks John

Try a Windows driver for another HP printer. There may be a list of compatible drivers in the manual. Larry
