If I install dual NICs in WIN2k machines so that one is connected to a 100mb LAN and the other to a 10mb LAN, what kinds of problems can I expect? Actually, I have 10 pcs that I want on the 100mb LAN for testing and setup purposes and still connect to a 10mb LAN shared by 500 other users. Thanks for any suggestions or known problems I might encounter. 1. RE: Dual NIC separating 10mb and 100mb LANs lbyard Sep-27-01 03:53 PM In response to message 0
It probably can be done Ok on an NT computer using routing, but I would purchase an Ethernet switch(s) and connect the slow network to the uplink or a regular port (http://duxcw.com/faq/network/hubsw.htm http://duxcw.com/faq/network/uplink.htm). Larry
