To make Win 2000 start-up floppies, put the 2000 CD in the CD-ROM on any computer, change directory to d:\bootdisk D: is your CD-ROM drive, and execute makeboot.exe. You’ll need four floppies. An easier way to install NT, 2000, XP with a boot floppy, is to make a Win 9x, Me, etc. Startup floppy (http://duxcw.com/digest/Fromshop/software/windows/startup/startup.htm, http://duxcw.com/digest/Howto/software/windows/winme/startup/page1.html), fdisk the drive to make a C: partition, format the partition, insert the NT, 2000, XP CD, go to D:\i386 on the CD-ROM drive, and execute WINNT.EXE. Do not format C: as the install files are copied to it. It can be converted from FAT to NTFS formats instead. WINNT can also be used instead of the floppies to repair an existing NT, etc. Larry
