Linking 2 Computers to play LAN Games

Help.
I have just bought a cross-over wire. I have a 10/100 card in both my notebooks, and both are running on WIN98se. Can anyone please tell me how I can setup my computers so that I can play LAN games (counterstrike, Yuri's revenge) with my brother.

http://duxcw.com/digest/Howto/network/net2pc/intro.htm. You may need to install the IPX/SPX protocol as well. It depends on the game. Larry

I play Counter-strike and red alert 2 with tcp/ip using 2 computers so once you've got the tcp/ip protocol installed you should be all set.
