hi I am new to this group and would greatly appreciate anyones help. I have 2 computers, one with 98SE and the other with 2000 professional. I have these computers connected to the internet via d-link router, which supports DHCP, through a cable modem. I have no problem accessing the internet and email through both computers but I cannot get the computers to communicate and transfer files between the two. I have enabled file sharing on both computers. I know nothing about tcp/ip protocols at all. Please help. If anyone can help I would greatly appreciate it. thank you.omar 1. Have you shared anything? Are you logging-in? What are the computer and workgroup names? See http://duxcw.com/faq/network/brreq.htm for more. Larry 2. RE: networking a 98SE and 2000 computer problem omsrex Dec-07-01 09:44 PM In response to message 1
