Peer to peer WinME (host) Win98 (client) Network working but can't access internet with client pc
Creu Dec-17-01 03:09 AM
Thank you very much for your info on my last posting.
My new problem is that I can't access the net with the client pc. I can transfer files from one pc to the other but printer sharing isn't working.
How do I set it up?
I've installed ICS on both pc's but to no avail.

I have an external cable modem. I access it via tcp/ip protocol.
Once I got the network going, I added the ICS protocol & bound it to both other protocols (TCP/IP(internet) & Netbeui (local network).
I then made up a install disc for the client pc's & installed it onto the client pc on the local network.
I'm wondering why I can't get a connection with the client.

...Starting to get frustrated.
Thanks for your help,

Verify the client configuration per http://duxcw.com/digest/Howto/network/win98se/client.htm. The ICS client install program does not always correctly configure the client. Larry
