DNS server set up
Acuum Jan-01-02 02:20 PM
Hello.

I have no idea where to start.

My network consists of 5 machines and we all use an ISDN router.

I use Personal Web Server. and would like to be able to view the results on other computers by giving them a link to http://tony_desk/
instead of my IP which get tedious.

I think that i need to use a DNS but don't know where to start or what to do.

can anyone help?

thanks tony

Setup host tables. See C:\windows\hosts.sam for eaxample, etc. if you are working with Windows 9x/Me. Open it with notepad. Windows NT, 2000, and XP also has them, Search... Larry
