How can I do Internet Connection Sharing with win98 First Edition

Hi,
I need to share my modem internet connection across my LAN. The computer with the modem runs win98 First Edition. Upgrading to SE is not an option. Can anyone tell my how I can seccessfully share my internet connection using win98 FE. I also need this to be a cheap solution as I do not have a lot of money to spend.

The first edition of Windows 98 has no ICS capability. You must upgrade or install a third party piece of software such as SyGate (http://duxcw.com/digest/Reviews/Network/sygate/sygate.htm). SyGate is better than Win 98SE/Me. Win XP is does a good job of it. Larry
