Windows ME Networking problem

I have a home network composed of 1 Windows NT server and 3 Windows 98 machines. We all share the deskjet printers attached to two of the machines and an HP LaserJet over the network. Every computer also has access to an ADSL connection to the Internet.
My problem is that I am trying to add a Windows ME machine and it won't logon to the DOMAIN I have established for the network. It can get to the Internet but I can't see it on the network nor can the Windows ME machine see anything on the network. I had checked the settings numerous times and they appear to be correct.
Anybody ever seen anything like this because Microsoft is offering zero help. Thanks!!

Check the number of client licenses available. As a matter of possible interest, one can lie to NT about that number and get away with it. Larry

Client licenses are 5 which is not the problem. When the machine boots up it doesn't show the Client for Microsoft networks logon it show the Windows logon even though the other is selected. I saw another message like this and it was recommended to copy the winsock.dll file from the original install disk. Did this work?

I have not seen this problem (Microsoft Client is selected, but uses the Windows logon) and I cannot find a mention of it in Microsoft’s Knowledge Base. Furthermore, one should be able to logon a domain with the Windows logon (http://duxcw.com/faq/network/logdomain.htm). Before trying to correct a possible winsock problem (http://duxcw.com/faq/network/winsock.htm), I would first uninstall and reinstall everything network on the Me computer. http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;Q141858 may be useful. Uninstalled and reinstalled every network item with the same result. I have never seen anything like this before. Get to the Internet using the network alright, but still won't logon to the domain. Can't see this computer in the network users list. This computer can't share any resources or used any shared resources on the network.

Try removing the workgroup and PC name, enter temporary names, restart, enter correct names, restart. Workgroup and domain names must be identical. http://duxcw.com/faq/network/names.htm. Larry
