Wiring 568B Keystone Jack with 568A cable???
dband64 Mar-28-02 11:25 PM
Just finished running Cat5 EIA/TIA 568A cable in the wall and getting ready to install keystone jacks. Noticed that keystone jack is labeled Cat5 T568B while cable has the EIA/TIA 568A label.

Does it matter?

Which color scheme do I use on both ends of the cable?

Please read http://duxcw.com/digest/Howto/network/cable/cable1.htm, http://duxcw.com/faq/network/ends.htm, and http://duxcw.com/faq/network/diff568ab.htm. They should answer your questions and you will have a better understanding. Larry
