Hello guys.... I need your help, real bad. I just purchased a used pc that had Microsoft Networking. The files have been removed, but the annoying, "Enter Network Password" screen pops up upon booting the system. How do I go about removing the networking option or disabling the "password" prompt? I will never use this option. I'm using the Windows Me OS.
Thanks in advance.

Go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, Network, and change the Primary Network Logon to Windows Logon. Then see How can I automate the Windows logon when Windows 9x/Me boots-up? at http://duxcw.com/faq/win/autolog.htm. Larry

Larry,
It's doing the same thing with an added bonus now, "No domain server was available to validate your password."

Well then go to Start, Settings, Control Panel, Network, Click Client for Microsoft Networks, Properites, and uncheck Logon to Windows NT domain. Or, remove the Client for Microsoft networks if you do not plan to have a local nework. Larry
