5 PC Network, Different OS's

can someone give me some links to, or advice about, this topic?
Can it be done?
Also, can some files be unaccesable while the rest are?

As far as networking several computers, if it is to just share internet access there is no problem. You need a router, and a network card in each computer then set each computer to obtain it's IP address automatically. If it is to share files between OS's that is a different story, there are programs such as Dave for Macs that allow them to act like windows clients, and I'm sure that there are other solutions out there. Don't be in a hurry, read the FAQ's on this site They are GREAT! and learn, learn, learn. While we are all here to help, it's a lot more fun to work through it, and figure it out.
