Can you configure XPs firewall to share resources on the LAN?

Is it possible to configure Windows XP firewall to all the PC to see and share its resources on the local area network? Can i configure ICF to accept a range of port for to be accepted on the lan

I cannot see how this is done. I do not want to go out and spend money on a third party firewall.

please help

Total madness i would not rely on the windows xp firewall for any form of security on the internet if you wanna be safe you have to spend the money !!!!!!!

I just wanted to expose my computer to my Lan I have at home. XP ICF by defaults stops that.

article has helped as i can use all the ips in my lan to allow browing on their User Datagram Protocol (UDP) ports from 135 through 139, and Transmission Control Protocol (TCP) ports from 135 through 139 and port 445

by specify only my lan ips will keep out all other.
