Hello, I need help in setting up a network with SMC7008ABR broadband router behind another network.My Network configuration is:
Old LAN (192.168.10.*) --> New LAN behind SMC broadband router (192.168.2.*)
My old LAN is a network with address 192.168.10.* and it is make up by a firewall, router, few switches, leased line & modem.
I connect my SMC broadband router to one of the old LAN switches and I wish the old LAN can see the computers in new LAN behind the SMC router and vice versa.
The problem now is:
1) All the computers in the old LAN cannot see the computers in the new LAN behind the SMC router and vice versa. (Internet access, virtual server is ok for computers behind SMC router)
2) The firewall in the old LAN have VPN server built in and all the computers that dial in can hook up. But the computers in the new LAN behind SMC router cannot see the computers in the old LAN even install the given software (with policy, safenet).
3) Some of my friends told me that I should be able to see the computers in the old LAN even I was behind the SMC router without doing anything. Is it true? (Workgroup name and domain name is all identical for all the computers in new & old LAN, Netbeui is installed)
