Why Is The Patch panel ?

Hi, will i was wondering why should i use patch panel ? if i use a hub or switch just connect the cabels and im done!..and is there any benefit of fixing a patch panel ? please help i will be thankful.Mar

You do not need a patch panel. In fact, using a patch panel when you do not need one just adds more things to the network that can break. That is also the reason I do not like to use wall jacks, etc. if there is no pressing need to do so. A “pretty” network is not always the most reliable network.
