I just set up my FTP Server Serv-U and it doesn't connect to my friends. Please look at the diagram that I made, everything is in there. http://www.geocities.com/vintecr/ftpconnect.html Also the main computer has ZoneAlarm installed. I just don't know what I can do to make it connect to others.

Have you tried it without Zonealarm? 3. RE: FTP Connection Problem lbyard Jul-08-02 12:22 PM In response to message 0
Unless the MODEM has a built-in NAT and two Ethernet interfaces, I really don't see from your diagram how your computer is connecting to the cable service. If it is connecting through s second network adapter and Win XP ICS on the other computer, you are going to have to assign a static IP address to your computer, turn off the DHCP server in ICS on the other computer so it doesn't interfere with it, punch a TCP port for FTP through ICS on the other computer, and as DJ Net2Infinity stated, turn-off or make a hole in any firewalls between the Internet and the FTP host. If the MODEM has a NAT, the process would be similar. I leave the details of all of this as an exercise for the reader. Some of them are in this forum and our FAQs. Larry
