I've followed the directions for networking these two computers but they don't find each other. When I run the diagnostics on the board the I/O register is 100% pass. The loopback test is 100% fail and the cable connection is 2:1 fail. The EEPROM tests ok. Any suggestions? Thanks, Jerry 1. You haven't got a loopback connector installed, so it will fail. Although I do not know the significance of "2:1," it appears to me from the final test that you have a bad cable or the wrong kind of cable. You need one crossover cable to connect directly between the PCs or two straight-thru cables to connect via a hub. Details on cables start at http://duxcw.com/digest/Howto/network/cable/cable1.htm.
