Has anyone set up modem sharing on a peer-to-peer windows net work. I have two systems networked just fine and working good ie:sharing printers and files etc. I have a 3com ISDN Pro TA dailup modem hooked to one of the systems and it get out on the net with no problems. I want to be able to access the net via this modem on the other system. Help!!! 1. RE: 3Com ISDN Modem Shareing Help lbyard Sep-09-00 04:15 PM In response to message 0
A quick look at the 3com ISDN Pro TA manual shows that it looks like an ordinary MODEM to Windows and that the Windows Dial-up adapter interfaces to it. I would think you could easily share it with Windows 98 SE ICS (http://duxcw.com/digest/Howto/network/win98se/intro.htm), SyGate (http://duxcw.com/digest/Reviews/Network/sygate/sygate.htm), Windows Me, etc. SyGate is better than Windows 98 SE ICS. I have not setup Windows Me Internet sharing yet, but will do so shortly (I have it running on my computer). Dimensioneer says Windows Me ICS is better than SyGate, see http://duxcw.com/dcforum/dcboard.cgi?az=read_count&om=224&forum=DCForumID2. Larry
