making RJ45 connections

1 w orange
2 orange
3 w green
4 blue
5 w blue
6 green
7 w brown
8 Brown
This is what I am being told is a proper straight cable enhanced straight cable!
How do I make a cross cable? I been told do the above and than take one end and just flip flop 2&6 ?
Using an ethernet tester this way test good as a straight cable but so does the cable if I just keep the wires as pairs meaning;
w orange
orange
w green
green
w blue
blue
w brown
brown
Whats the diffrence and why cause there is when connecting into 1 Gig Black Diamond Box?
