problem setting up a network with a cross over rj-45

Hi there im having some probleme setting up my network with win98se and tcp/ip protocol with a crossover cable
all pc cannot comunicate with the other if i install tcp/ip why ?
it happen only after i install win98 into both machine what it can be the problem ?

This sort of problem can happen after upgrading to Windows 98/98SE. Run regedit (Start, Run, enter regedit). The registry should be backed-up before doing anything with it. See Help in the registry for steps. Expand the tree by clicking plus signs to HKEY_Local_Machine\Software\Microsoft\Windows\CurrentVersion\Network\Real Mode Net . Delete the AutoLogon value. Come back if this didn't fix it, OK? Larry
