I need your help. I have 2 puters that share an internet connection thru a Netgear EN104. Though they share the connection good i can't see the other puter on network neighborhood. IP adresses are obtained automatically. Can i run second NIC cards and setup a sorta sub network. I might could run static addresses then . What do you think? Or is there a better way that i might not be thinking about. With the setup i have there must be a way of telling puter 1 what puter 2's address is. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Rob Reply to forum and Catsburg55@aol.com

I assume that you are paying your cable company for two connections (two IP addresses) to the Internet) and that your cable MODEM and both PC’s are connected to a hub? It is probably possible to share one IP with SyGate (http://duxcw.com/digest/Reviews/Network/sygate/sygate.htm) or Windows 98 Second Edition (http://duxcw.com/digest/Howto/network/win98se_cab/intro.htm). To network the existing network configuration, try installing NetBEUI for the local network according to http://duxcw.com/digest/Howto/network/net2pc/intro.htm in addition to TCP/IP which already installed for the Internet.
