Home Cable Internet sharing 2 PCs thr. WIN98SE

Hi,
I m new at network , 2 days ago I succesfully connect 2PC to internet through win98SE internet sharing (crossover no hub ), the problem is when the 2nd PC shutdown its locks the 1 PC (server)so need restart. no IPX no Netbeu ..
Do I need to buy hub ?
Any1 can advice me how I can solve the problem or any web address.

When the ICS locks-up, can you display the Windows Task Manager by holding the Ctrl and Alt keys and pressing Delete? You shouldn't need a hub. Larry

Thank you very much for your reply .
But computer going completly lock, so keyboard
also doesnt work , unable ro press ctrl+alt+del only one way is press restart on case .
so windows begin with scandisk, and dont like to press restart every locks.

If you still have two network cards in the PC connected to the Internet, pull the network adapter for the cable MODEM and see if the computer still locks-up when the other computer shuts down. Larry

Hi Larry ,
Thank you very much for your help , I changed IRQ of 2nd NIC ,and the problem solved, And I also uninstall inet sharing of WIN98SE , I installed All Aboard because this software permit file transfer at PALTALK also ,Win98SE Int.sharing doesnt.
