Is it possible to share an internet connection between two computers if I use AOL Plus DSL to connect to the internet? Also, would I just configure it as dial-up, since i still need to sign on to AOL before I'm connnected to the internet? Thanks 1. See MS Knowledge Base Artilce Q230223, How to Use AOL with Internet Connection Sharing, at http://support.microsoft.com/support/kb/articles/Q230/2/33.ASP?LN=EN-US&SD=gn&FR=0&qry=ics%20aol&rnk=2&src=DHCS_MSPSS_gn_SRCH&SPR=W98SE. The maximum number of network adapters that TCP/IP can be bound to is four. This limitation can be a problem with some version of AOL. I get everything I need or want, and some, from the Internet without AOL. Larry 2. RE: Sharing an Internet Connection using AOL Plus Homegurm May-20-01 07:49 PM In response to message 0
Please let me know what you have found on this subject because I have tried every combination of settings without any luck. The only way I have found to share Aol Plus DSL connection is to use a 3rd party gateway/proxy server. I have found several that work fine, but all are far from easy to set up. I had used the win98se ICS with my dial-up connection for a long time and love it's simplicity. It is unfortunate that it won't work with our setup. Matt 3.
