File Transfer

I have a 3Comm HUB, with 5 PC's connected to it. I am running Win98 with tcp/ip and netbeui protocols. One pc has a dsl modem, and I am using ComSock as a proxy server. I can see all pc, surf the web, and connect msn messanger, and outlook fine. When I try to transfer a file from another pc, I get an error that states the network dive is no longer available, and when I try to download a file from the internet, I get an error that states connection to host unavaliable. This is happening on all the pc's. If any one could enlighten me on a fix, I will give you my first born!!!

I have not used ComSock. I would start by running the diagnostics that came with the network adapters and looking for cabling problems. Larry

I got it. There was a bad port on the HUB. I returned it for a new one, and all is great. Thnks.
