Networking Win ME and Windows 98 1st edition

I've read your instructions on "how to share a cable modem with windows 98 second edition". That's exactly what I want but on a host computer with Win ME and a client computer with Win 98 1st edition. Is it possible with the same instructions? Thank you.

I haven’t done it with Me yet (plan to for an article), but the procedure is pretty much the same. I have Me on my computer and it is using a cable MODEM. However, I use a router (http://duxcw.com/faq/ics/waysshare.htm) to share the connection. Won’t hurt to try it. Larry

It worked for me .. I would say yes that it should work for you.
Also if you go to (On the WindowsME System) the Start/Help, Home Networking, Configuring other computer on your home network ... they have instructions specifically for setting up Windows95 and Windows98 machines with a WindowsME host.
