I'm wiring my new home and was wondering if I can use the extra pairs in a cat5 phone wire for my 10/100 network? Will I get too much inducted noise from the phone or will it work ok (even if it's just a little slower because of collisions...)-Jason

I have not tried it, but others have said that the ring pulses will trip-up the network. Larry
