P2P connection Ok but no sharing of internet signal

I have computer (1) with 2 D-Link cards: one used for input for Internet service and the other for connection to computer (2) that also has a D-Link card. I have used a crossover cable to connect both computers and everything is fine except I cannot make computer (2) to receive the Internet signal. Help.

Please provide more information. What software are you using to share the Internet? What Windows versions are you using? What are the network configurations on both computers? Etc.? Larry

Larry,
I think that is my problem. I am not using any software to share Internet.
Both: Windows 98 Second Ed.
Configurations: Loaded tcp/ip, netbeui and ipx/spx. Client for Microsoft Networks (primary logon).
That is all I have.

Raul,Install Windows 98 SE Internet Connection Sharing per http://duxcw.com/digest/Howto/network/win98se_cab/intro.htm. Other ways, better ones, to share the Internet are described at http://duxcw.com/faq/ics/waysshare.htm. Larry
