how can i run a 15 inch external monitor with a windows 95 laptop what are the step i need to take

Depends on the notebook… Many notebooks have a VGA monitor connector, but the steps to turn it on are specific to the particular notebook. Larry

thanks larry the notebook is a toshiba and it has a vga port in the back i thought you would just plug the cable in to make it work but it does'nt
any idea would be helpful. oh and its a 96 or 97

Usually, you have to enable the external monitor in the BIOS settings.
