I have an Asus K7M motherboard with and AC ’97 onboard sound. I disabled this and reinstalled my old Sound Blaster 16 PnP, so I could have sound in DOS programs. Windows 98 recognizes it, except it makes a strange clicking noise when I use it. Does anybody know of anyway to fix this problem? 1. Check to see if the speaker jack is plugged all the way in and look for frayed wires that may be shorting or opening. Check the audio cable going from the CD-ROM to the sound card. Larry
