MPU401

Larry, I have a windows 98 machine and on startup, just after the windows desktop begins to appear I get a white warning box telling me that the MPU401 is not configured correctly.
When I go to Multimedia in the Control Panel and click on the MPU401 it tells me to reload the driver but I can't fine the driver on the Win98 CD.
So, first, what is the MPU401 and can you tell me where to get the driver?

MPU401 is a standard developed by RolandED (http://www.rolanded.com/index.html)in the early 80's, and later adopted for Creative SoundBlaster cards, for midi (Musical Instrument Digital Interface) input (piano-like keyboards, etc.). MPU = MIDI Processing Unit. The DB15 Jack on the back of most soundcards is the MIDI port. Look for the driver on floppy or CD that came with the soundcard. Thank you Larry. Here is an addendum, I also have a customer who has a micron KR 637 PII 266 and I need to reload the operating system which is win98 se.
The modem and the soundcard and video are intergrated on the motherboard and I have tried every driver on the Win98 SE CD, no luck.
What is the process you go through when you run up against this issue, I would be very appreciative as to your input.

Check the user manual. Ask the customer for a CD or floppies that came with the computer/motherboard and look on them for the drivers. Or, look on the hard disk for the drivers, etc.… Or, determine the motherboard per http://support.micronpc.com/apps/faqhub.asp?Docnum=1074. Wow - again, the latter link gave me all the downloads I needed.
I've decided since there is no way I could make it up to you, I am going to send my first born.
He works hard but eats a lot, keep him for the remainder of his highschool and college years - no job is too small for him.
Don't be afraid to use the rod if he gets out of hand - he's really something with napster - and that's about it.
