If you can manage to do it with your computer, I would go into the computer’s CMOS Setup, Integrated Peripherals, or something like that, and be sure the printer port is set for ECP+EPP. Remove and reinstall the ink cartridges. Perhaps you can arrange to take the computer, cable, and printer to the store where you bought the printer and have them troubleshoot the problem. I know I would if I had sold the printer. I think the 895 is a fine printer and would not hesitate to recommend exchanging a defective one for another 895. Larry
