well are you using the detonator drivers from nvidia or the drivers from creative.I know Larry Will hate this but, try overclocking your fsb ( is your the p3 800 100fsb or 133?) if it is 100 fsb processor I would crank that fsb up to 133 ( that will get you @ 1064) BUT you must provide proper cooling and do it in small increments!!!!! cpu will need a high performance cooler( globalwin fop 32 or 38 are good) if you are @ 133 fsb already @ 800 then I would bump it up 1 mhz at a time to see where your threshhold is. I have seen many 800 over 1gig. Beware, you may lock up, burn up the cpu, crash your hard drive. Proceed @ your own risk.
Also download powerstrip and o'c that video card!!! Creatives are not the best overclockers, but should be able to get that to around 180/180.
adequate cooling is a must.
I recently changed cases due to another headache and found this case to run way too hot.
I spent the weekend drilling blowholes and mounting fans. I have:
2 80 mm fans on side blowing @ cpu and video card.
1 80mm on top blowing out.
1 80 mm in front blowing in.
2 50 mm in back near the top blowing out
power supply fan replaced with better fan
slot fan
VIce 3 Extreme mounted on my radeon ddr
fop32 on cpu. ( 633 @ 1055 , 28-30c underload)
Yes it does sound like a helicopter, but it keeps everything cool.
