This is normally a simple routine, but for some reason I just can't get the sound recorder to work ( Win 98 ) I keep getting a message saying " your audio hardware cannot record into files like the current file,to record create a new document "
Clicking on 'new' makes no difference.
I have an Es1868 plug&play audio drive. Never had any hassle with it before, Device Manager shows this to be configured ok.
All boxes are ticked in recording control properties.
Could the soundcard be damaged?regards,
