i upgraded my computer recently. i bought new motherboard, cpu and i used old hdd. ram vga card without clean install winme (i simply put hdd from old computer to the new one) winme detect new hardware and everything works fine. I know that i should do a clean install of winme. but my hdd is full of crap (for my work) and i dont have backup option. you know, it's can take ages install windows office drivers and stuff. so, i goes with this for a while before i have time and format hardrive and setup the whole thing.i got two printer one is brother hl-1250 i connect to usb so i can connect my epson lq1170i printer via parallial port (excuse my spelling) my hl-1250 works fine under usb port but when i use lq1170i printer it print garbage and i did the printer self-test i surprise that it's also work fine so i guess the problem solve!! it's the parallial cable. i test the cable with hl-1250 again i was surprised (again) it's work so, cable is not the problem here. and i think it has something to do with driver. i romove and re-install the printer driver i still couldn't get it to work. could you tell me what else i can do????
