msgsrv32 - not responding ?

win98SE --- In the last week , when i boot my PC and get to the network logon screen ..then it basically hangs..
When i hit crtl - alt -del it says "msgsrv32 - not responding" ......
so i reboot and hopefully about the third time it will boot .......
i remember someone saying this has to do with Norton ?
any suggestions welcome please...

Did you change anything/install software in the last week? Run Norton live update. Other things can cause it also. Larry

thats a tough one larry cause im always installing things...
I run live update at least once a week......

ive heard it can be SB live drivers and Norton ... but im after a more defenitive answer really....
ill update a few drivers etc and see if that works...

almost scared to turn the PC off ....
