Epson 440/640

I have a new Everex 1000 MHZ AMD, 128 meg ram, running Windows ME. Everthing install just fine. Installed the printer and loaded the software. Ran the test print and it worked OK. When you try to print from a MS Word 2000, the printer will start, and print just the heading. Then start printing the rest of the document on the next page. We have uninstall the printer and tried a Epson 640 and it did the same thing. It doesn't matter which program we use I.E. Access, Notepad, or any program it does the same thing. I have went through the setup for the printers and nothing changes. Went to the Epson Site, and we have the drivers. I have been having all kinds of different problems with ME.

The printer cable is OK. The problem is that Epson printers we have would not work with ME. They work fine with Windows 95, 98,98se and NT. I installed a Cannon BJC 450 and it works great. Epson was no help at all.

The problem must be specific to your computer/Win Me installation/configuration. I would find other trouble reports if it were widespread. Larry

"Use this upgrade if you encounter problems with the earlier version of the Status Monitor." I don't know if this will fix the problem, but it might. Larry
