capturing LPT1 for network printing

I have a windows95 pc, which has a network printer attached to it. windows applications print fine to the peer/network printer.
In order to make a DOS application print to my network printer ( another peer in a peer2peer), do i need to capture the lpt1 in dos somehow ?

Open a DOS window and type:
C:\>net use /?
And:
C:\>net print /?
You will probably want to put the appropriate commands in the autoexec.bat file after the commands that fire-up the network. I haven’t done this (DOS networking) in a long time. Larry
