PC errors on printing

I have a win 98 2nd edition pc with an HP 710C printer attached to lpt1. every time I print either a test page or legit doc I get a message in a white box saying HPfvls13.exe ( located in c:\windows\system ) caused a fault IGNORE or CLOSE. Ive installed the latest print drivers. Any ideas as Im as this is driving me nuts

Try options at http://www.hp.com/cposupport/printers/support_doc/bpd04224.html. Please provide info on your computer. Larry

Hi Larry Thanks for your help, as per the options on the HP web site Ive turned off bi-directional communication and I no longer get that error message at the end of the print job.
