Round Cables for HDD, FDD, CD-DVD, etc.

Recently, I have begun to notice computer companies advertising round cables for use in attaching devices within the case. Does anyone have an opinion re: efficiency, space saving, reliability, etc.?

On other hand, after reading this thread again and thinking some more on it, I've seen some servers where these cables may have helped air flow and servicing. Larry

I've got eight devices connected by IDE/FDD/SCSI cables. Unbelievable mess. Where are you seeing round cable for sale? Jim P

Hi Jim,
I recently picked up a case fan from a company called InFlow Direct and saw a whole section devoted to round cables....WWW.inflowdirect.com will do the trick! I forgot to mention that they have different colors too....way cool!!

George, thanks for the info. They've got floppy, ide and scsi (50 and 68 pin). The ide cable is 2 device, 18 or 24 inch. Priced around $15 US per cable.
I tried to make my own round cable once - what a waste of time (and cable) (and electrical tape).
