hi, I bought a pc on ebay which had no OS installed. I wanted to install windows98 on it, so formatted the C drive. But now when I put my boot disk and start the computer, it tries to read the boot disk and stalls there. The screen remains blank and is struck there.... Any inputs on what to do and what I did wrong. thanks in advance CK

Try booting up from your Windows CD then.I've gone through dozens of boot disks in my time, they seem to go bonkers on me from time to time.

I did try this by putting the windows CD, but it does the same thing.

I created a new boot disk, and when I powered the computer on I got the following errror message:
NTLDR is missing.
so any advice on what to do next...?
